Well you could start with a smoke.......a drink.......some good music..........good company...........smiling :D Happy Christmas, :maz:

Pleased you love your work so much. "Busting with enthusiasm" would be so much more uplifting than "mithered to death" when you answer the phone lOl You just enjoy being grumpy :D

Steve

I know and understand you are passionate about your work. However you need to have a balance in your life. You need to also have fun....!

When was the last time you did something completely outside of your comfort zone....(other than giving me a lift to the church at Rick and Tigs' wedding?... lOl )

Have you made a bucket list? I have always had a couple of things in my head that I would like to do, but have now made the decision to write them down and see how many of them I can actually achieve... They don't have to be great and all-conquering. Sometimes the simplest things get forgotten and need to be brought to the forefront and dealt with.

If you do nothing else on Tuesday, write your bucket list, then start planning on how you are going to achieve them......seriously. x

There's the rub......I've already led a very active life and cannot think of anything else I could possibly add to a bucket list, seriously :?

...and Steve, smoking, drinking , etc. is what I do at home before I go to bed after my day at the shop, it's the only thing that gets me through the night before I go to work again (where I also listen to all my favourite music)......''mithered to death'' when answering the phone is just an honest reflection of the frustration I feel when having to field all the shite that comes with running a business......I'm sure you recognise that but are far too PC to jeopardize your position :)

If you have achieved everything you have ever dreamed of, then you are truly a very lucky guy.

However, that leaves you nothing to look forward to, which is a real shame... :(

I s'pose you could always re-book your trip to Nepal...!!!! :yup:

Yea, give up on that mate.
People tend to miss the point that if you enjoy your job your not working.
I like this break because I'm comfortable in the knowledge that my business partner isn't pissing any of my customers off because of the "extra stress" of running it alone

I get through all holidays and weekends by working on my bikes or cars, Christmas although I love it almost ends in divorce every year, which just proves from my flories point of view, you can have too much of a good thing ;)

I'm not a Christmas fan either. It's all commecial BS.
I'm always happy when it's over, and I can get on with stuff again.
Nothing wrong with loving your job, but it's good to get some balance too.
Here's a view from my office.
I can see how you find your work very satisfying, the bike looks fantastic, I feel the same when I've just buttoned up a job on the boat and I'm pleased with the results.
But I have other stuff going on besides a job I enjoy.
An old sailboat restoration, a car build, house renovation, and now the bike.
Roll on Wednesday!

Good job you don't live in Spain. Every other week is a bloody fiesta, and if they fall on a Tuesday, or a Thursday, then they take the Monday or Friday as a "Puente". (Bridge)
Bugger all happening here untill 7th :headbang:
No wonder the Country is in the shyte.
Even worse, I have to go to Galicia Tomorrow to see the outlaws
500 year old stone house in the mountains. Bloody freezing :sad1:

Oh well, maybe when I get back then.
