Hey, I don't know if the sun was shining where you were, but did anyone manage to get out on their bike this weekend??

It was sooo tempting. Unfortunately I had so many other commitments family-wise, I was unable to take advantage of the sunshine. :sad1:

I think anyone who goes out for a ride at the mo needs to be cautious though. Around this way the roads are in a very poor state, full of potholes and covered in sh*t and muck washed out by the rain and snow. :(

We went out last night with friends for a meal at a pub in the country, and hit a huge pothole which threw the car off line. Haven't checked yet to see if it damaged the wheel rims. Glad we weren't on a bike....

Looking forward to the better weather which surely must be coming soon!!!

Ride safe everyone. :yup:
:4roz:

Dear Jill
Me thinks you need to be more careful with your title (double meaning) lOl
Anyway regards bikes , way too much salt and crap about on the roads at the moment and agree with you on the poor condition of the roads , still a little bit cold as well for me , so give it a couple of months and I might venture out then :sun:

...............the simple solution is, don't ride on roads then

I had a fantastic ride in the local Observed Trial, never mind gravel and potholes, 3 sections were up a stream in spate lOl

'twas the first time out on a Twinshock Hon*a that I finished building on Friday evening. I'll have to get Willy around with his grinder 'cos it weighs a ton when compared with my Fantic 300.

middle of summer here, had a good ride today and found my new slightly raised footpegs still grind on the road on corners but not as easy as they used to :D :D :D

Great weather here Saturday and Sunday daytime with dry roads.
A lot of rain on Friday and on Saturday ensured, to my satisfaction, that the salt'n'grit had been washed away, but still cleaned the bike afterwards.
This was my first (brief) ride on Shuggito's old Ulysses. Very enjoyable, but I don't think I'll be able to live with the crappy steelwork that supports the tall screen, it does look very amateur and home-made.
Looking forward to a longer ride (STW)!!! :)

Yes! Had to bed in my new brake pads prior to MOT next week. Not that I needed an excuse. 8-)

Ran over to Forest of Dean then up to Ross-on-Wye. Had brunch at new Starbucks on the M50 Link then home via Malvern hills. It was cold out in places, but I felt good on the first propper ride on the XB this year. ;)

Then spent an hour later cleaning off 80 miles worth of crap. lOl

Couple of months???? As soon as the weather settles down, I will be out on my bike. Plenty of bike gear to keep you warm. :sun:

Looking forward to the UKBEG birthday weekend at Black Bear (Easter weekend) where there will be camping etc. at Soham again...(I think) :yup:
