What about hole size? Would the XB one be better designed with a slightly smaller hole to the left and slightly larger hole to the right to offset Bernoulli effect?

Any thoughts about the size of the restrictor at the end of the crank? How is the fit and surface finish between the crank and the bush?

its been a while but did find this interesting years ago (Hydrodynamic Lubrication)
https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/imag ... Z1kmAt4Cww

explanation http://www.phy.davidson.edu/fachome/dmb ... cation.htm

therefor Me thinks that the oil supply to the brg is on the non load area and reliant on rotating shaft to drag/ force the oil to the load area at a greater presure . I could be wrong but thats my pennies worth :yup:

Interesting what you say regarding hole sizes mat .with regards the size of hole in crank shaft feedig the big end .im an currently building test rig to see if is poss to feed the big end better and reduce the running temp in this area.
