Hi all,

I am potentially a new Buell owner, I'm going to look at a Firebolt next week.

I currently have a Ducati 748 which I plan to keep, I'm considering the Buell due to it being something interesting like the Ducati, but mainly I'm after something more comfortable and that can take 2 people comfortably, is it?!

My main thought is that I'd like to put 'wide bars/renthal style' on it like a Triumph Speed Triple has. Is this something that anyone else has done?

Cheers and I'll keep you updated on my purchase!

Ed.

The LSL superbike kit is the easiest way to go. Others took the upper tripple clamps from a lightning, but then the ingition switch needs to be relocated. For two up, a Ulysses seems a much better choice to me.

Sounds like you need a Lightning rather than a blot, but even they're not really two up machines, so Gunter is probably right, you need a Useless (there should be a y in there somewhere :? )

The firebolt has the same rear as the 1125 and my passengers have all said the 1125 is comfy enough ;)

Well sounds like none of you have ridden a 748/916 Ducati, it is the most uncomfortable bike with just me on it let alone my wife who also loves me!!

I'll have a ride and see!

Thanks for the input!

I came from a 748/916 to a Buell XB9SX.....completely different kettle of fish!

TBH i miss the ducati more than i should, try and have a go on some before you lay out your hard earned cash.....I wish I had :-/
