Folks I have just had a quote over the phone from Belfast Harley for a 10000 mile service on my 2008 Uly. They are saying it will be at least £370 - £400 maybe more. Stated most of the cost was eaten up with labor as the forks were to be dropped and fork oil replaced.
Seems a bit pricey to me.
I have had the bike serviced regularly by a local guy I have used for years but had the thought that I should maybe get this one done by the dealer.
Is this a normal price and is there anything in the 10000 mile service that is a must at the dealers? Can I just get my guy who does ...... to do (so to speak)?

Cheers
Johnny

That's cheap as chips and I'll guarantee it doesn't cover all the required work for a 10K service.
Takes me 2 full days and you wouldn't see much change out of 800 quid.

If you get your bike a 10k service from Maz you'll get back a much better and sweeter running bike. IMHO it's worth every penny - you'll even be taught a thing or two. To be fair he didn't have much luck teaching me mind ;)

He did save me from a shopping expedition to The Trafford Centre :yup: A very lucky escape :o

Only problem is I'm in Northern Ireland. Might cost me nearly as much to get over to Maz. Lol

Could always try and plan a trip round it but that plus the service price might be a touch extreme.
Thinking it may have to go anyway.

If you scheduled it around deliverance, get it done, stay over at Adams for the BBQ weekend and ride back with Frankie

Maz is spot on, took mine to Shaw Harley not much change from 900 quid which included a rear tyre.
