Following an ill-advised attempt at a stoppy in the foothils of the Pyrenees, leading to several oprations on the left arm and hand, i've finally accepted that it'll be a while before i'm going to ride again and i'll have to sell Monica. She's done 14,000 miles, been tucked up in the warm every night and only ever worked on by those charming pick-pockets at Harley D. She's a 25th Anniversary model currently in excellent condish, sporting carbon fibre battle-dress, but i have all the original valencia orange stuff in good order along with some 7" plates, a full set of luggage and new shoes (mot'd and taxed till September).
I feel wrong talking about money when it comes to Monica. I trust other Buell enthusiasts implicitly, so make me an offer.

So sorry to hear about your off. Unfortunately, Monica may have to brush up on her German. I hope not though, it would be be good to,keep her in the UK. Heal soon.

Thanks, gusm2 its a real pleasure, i'm going to stick around and buy my next buell from here hopefully. The off was a pathetic low speed affair Matron, the arm has plated nicely but the re-wiring required to get me a thumb that will allow de-clutching and indicating takes about 18 months apparently. Just checked the odo its 11,000 miles on the clock not 14,000 (the last 3K must've been in my dreams). Germany, really? i was hoping for visiting rights.

Aye, a lot of the XB's are going to Germany these days. They can't seem to get enough of them and unfortunately, they just don't have the same appeal in the UK. I love mine, and never want to be without it. Maz has been warned that he is not allowed to retire until I am dead, so that he can keep her on the road - I am sure the very thought makes him shiver, as he is not a fan of the XB-crazy man!

Unfortunately, I too had a pathetic, slow speed, off, last August. So I have not been on mine since then. I am in for surgery on the 18th of March though, and hoping for a full recovery soon (relatively) after - I had better heal quick - we have booked the ferry for Diggertours in August!!!

Ah, sorry to hear that, good luck with the op! i'd be riding now if the surgeon hadn't cut my thumb ligament when he was putting the plate in my arm (gotta love that Welsh NHS).
Excellent prediction btw, looks like Monica's going to Germany.
I'll be looking for an S1 when i'm back in profit towards the end of the year (even if i have to go to Germany to get one).
I'm sure i'm not the only one on here who gets the piss taken out of them for riding a Buell, i do a Picos run with a load of GS1200 riders every Autumn and every time pull up to meet them for the ferry, they all hum circus music and honk like a clown's car horn. luckily i don't hear that for the rest of the trip because i'm always waiting for them to catch me up after leaving them eating my dust on the winding mountain roads (if they try some green lanes, i usually go and find a pub).
What's a Diggertour?

Interesting.

I get the same from my mate who absolutely had a ball riding my old 2006 Uly and my wife's current SCG...but then says he just doesn't get why I'd want a bike with 'THAT' engine!

I just humour him and smile. I think he secretly wants one (he's an ex 1200GS owner)!

Jon
