Post subject: Doing the oil pump drive
PostPosted: 10 Mar 2013 10:22
Now doing the oil pump drive gear replacement on my Ully, so far it's taken six hours just to rotate the motor due to this that and the other being seized. We had a right game with the front isolator it felt like it was elasticacted when undoing as it was totally seized so after knackering a few tools we finally got it off using a fork stanchion for leverage.
Now I need a new bush! Well let's hope today goes better than yesterday, when we gave up last night we had the rockers off and this morning were starting with taking the casing off and dropping the oil pump. I would like to think if all goes well by the end of today the engine will be swung back into place.
Bet we don't get that far though
