Me out lunchtime training yesterday - first day without leg warmers since I started my training on Jan 2nd..!!..

Well, just did the last biggish rides of the training this weekend. Rode from home to RAF Waddington on Saturday, 57 miles at a bloody quick average of 17.2 MPH.
Rode home yesterday, but at a much slower average of 14 MPH - sodding bloody headwind in my face all the way! Did 61 miles, I added a few more at the end.
The ride is now a week Saturday, so it's time to ramp down. I will do some small rides this week, 15 to 20 milers, and then nothing at all after Friday.
Getting proper nervous now!!!

I made an error in my maths, actually we have only done 274 miles, since 15:00 hours Saturday at Land's End. Now at the Travel Lodge in Worcester at the end of day 4...

I'm the one in the middle - the one who should have sucked his gut in for the camera!!!

Day 7 and landed in Dumfries.
I left them at Carlisle after battling over Shap in rain and 30 mph headwinds
Hopefully the rest of their trip will be easier.............. it has given me an itch for next year
