 Post subject: warning light

hi all ,finally found a mint xb 12s .......03 but only 5400 miles great !! anyway putting some miles in getting to know my new bike and it suddenly cuts out while i`m doing around 30 mph ,but re-starts straight away , and feels a touch lumpy and like the exhaust is blowing ! a also noticed a red warning light (looks like a "v" ) take it to be engine management (seller hasn`t forwarded manual yet ) pulled over light went out all feels normal !
any ideas gratefully received

Have a look in the How To section to learn how to read the fault codes.

This will tell you what the ECM thinks is wrong.

hi Pash registered to download ECM Spy, but cant seem to find where to purchase a connecting lead ......one on Amazon wont ship to my address :roll: and the other link i have found was 404 page not found any tips where to find one ?

Like Maz says, you don't need a lead to read the fault codes - A paper clip across the Tx and Rx pins on the plug will tell you the codes by flashing the maintenance light.

If you want a lead, you have two options (from me)

You will note that the EBay one is more expensive cos you are paying for the costs incurred by Ebay.

Lead is sold at cost of the parts.
