Rear pully (55 or 61 tooth) available from American Sport Bike for 150 USD if you want new.

Hi Adam...re the rear pulley, the problem is not so much cosmetic.....its the inner wall has separated away from the teeth. Like the belt has been out of line and pushed the wall away from the teeth.

Those of a nervous disposition...look away now.

Good grief   lOl lOl

Find a cheap S/H Sportster pulley, with the correct no. of teeth, and bore out the centre.

Looking at the state of that pulley it could even be corrosion between the tooth section and flange that has expanded and is pushing the flange off. Also if you suspect belt misalignment check the output shaft bearings.

Grinder Art:

Started with removing passenger peg lugs. Then my mate came round and we decided to lop off the triangle tube peg supports, as I don't do passengers.

One thing led to another and off came the sub frame. ( but I had already thought that was likely anyway )

The rest is FlapWheel Art, e.g. removing the rest of the battery tray. ( that had already sort of evaporated over the last 12 years)

This is getting interesting. What's your plan for the final result, or are you just gonna grind it n'see?
Either way, I am looking 4ward to the next instalment.
