Hello all, I'm back after sometime away from the forum due to near head bursting O.U. assignments over the winter. I'm looking for info regarding stainless brake disc bolts (front and rear) for my 1998 S1, I've searched the forum but can't find any relevant threads. I've contacted Black Bear, they were helpful with the other parts I've been after but they only have the standard zinc plated bolts. So, where will I be able to source stainless ones ? also if anyone has info about the exact size of these bolts I may be able to order them from Pro Bolt.

NEVER, EVER use stainless fasteners for brake discs, calipers or any other stressed components

:yt: It's virtually a banned material on home built aircraft. PFA Inspectors hate the stuff.

Good luck if you want Ti stuff from Pro Bolt, last time I enquired, they only did metric. IIRC S1 disc bolts are UNC.

I believe you can get chrome plated disc bolts from a HD dealer, seen them in DG20 in the past, sold as a set on a card, possibly Screaming Eagle...?
