Since the breather is pumping out predominantly CO2 and N2, you are actually making the engine run more efficiently by reducing pumping losses. It is a rough form of EGR.

What type of installation are the breathers on SOG? ;)

Well if your want further breather experiments you can muck around with the PCV on my T5 and also I need to sort out a breathing solution for the BSA? Perhaps you can reshoot your classic breather video but with the uly.

I am in the process of implementing a non-cabbage breather.

T5 - Guzzi or VW? If it's a VW Transporter, I've just made a blanking plate for the EGR valve but need to get someone to cancel the ECU warning light. I did the same on my Transit (and ignored the light) it cured the 'pipe puffing' smoke when you put your foot down :yup:

OK, time to stop talking about gay cars and vans...

Breather mod on, all oil fumes overboard, bit of pipe linking the holes in the airbox, done especially for you guys...

Thought I would get it MOTed tomorrow, so after putting the Remis back on, I checked all the electrics....

Horn - check
Dip beam - check
High beam - check
Pass - check
Left indicator - check
Right indicator - Right indicator - Right indicator...

Yep, the bugger wasn't working. A bit of fault finding isolated it to the harness with an intermittent connection... It was the brown wire, the feed to the indicator lamps, so the guess was that the problem was at the join in the wires. Begrudgingly I cut back the loom until I found it, it was deeper than expected but right at the part where Maz had said was a priblem area, the exit from the shroud at the headstock...

Here's the mutha hubbard....
Image

I cut it open to find the conductor in the wire from the switch was broken, the join was right on the shroud exit...

A job for tomorrow...
