Mate, build your bike how you want it. Might not be to everybody's taste but that's not the point of a custom. If you look at and think awesome then you succeeded. Personally I think it looks pretty good. Look forward to seeing it finished.

Its a seat Jim but not as we know it, :hehe:
far be it from me to try and influence someones tastes its just that he seems to be quite capable of creating something that looks unique and original rather than a Ducati or a Suzuki or whatever it is clone, he started out with something more original and rarer than either of them.

I quite like what he is doing to be honest.

Andy

I know what your saying Andy. Styling a buell from the original is very difficult as they are pretty uniquely styled anyway. I'm sure it'll look smart in the end

Before you send everything off for powder or paint. have a look at this. You may have seen before if you've done your homework. This really floats my boat. http://racingcafe.blogspot.co.uk/2013/0 ... arage.html

Thanks for the feedback.....DaveH...that is a nice one.

This is the front end. ( bottom photo.) The next is a Jap Tuber that I also like. For interest, the next photo is a previous sporty that I added a few bolt on bits to with rear sets. I sold it as I needed to undertake stretching exercises every time before climbing aboard. But still thinking clip-ons ( any views ? )

Been working away a lot recently but back for a while so should progress over the summer.

I did something similar to fit a pair of GSXR forks - viewtopic.php?p=206121#p206121

I machined them to fit a Buell front wheel and got EBC to make me some discs up with a 5mm offset IIRC.

Yeah, keep at it BuellcatiMan :yup: and keep the forum up to date with your progress, include plenty of photos. I'm keen to see which way you take this project. Got to say I'm totally bowled over by this machine - http://racingcafe.blogspot.co.uk/2013/0 ... arage.html[/quote]
