Ash,

Yes that is the same body kit as mine - before we hacked mine around to add in some extra air ducts to avoid possible overheating problems.

In case anyone is interested, the fairing does have a recess for a headlamp and Skidmarx have a mold to make clear or gradiant tint etc fairing screens (I know - I paid for it!).

Scott Loyd can make a far nicer seat based on the original seat base and Moorespeed have a neet trick to mount a 8 (ish) inch fan between the left hand side frame rails to further help with the cooling.

Really needs the pillion peg hangers removed and the chunky M2 swinging arm fitted.

The bodywork all comes together and starts working at 95mph (so I'm told).

Dave

Maz,

You know the reason why I built mine - I wanted a tuber but had to reduce the wind blast and turbulance (head shake) at speed.

Other than that, I think the bodywork looks good and works with the lines of the bike as a whole.

Obviously, it has some drawbacks because things are not as accessable - you need to drop the fairing to do most engine work, but that is no different from any other faired bike - no different from the RW 750.

For me, if I have 200 miles of A road to get through, I would far sooner take the faired version of my M2 than the original version.

If anyone is actually interested in buying this thing, PM me and I'll send you a breakdown of the costs involved in making one for yourself (for personal use only - not for onward disclosure). Let's just say that the fairing kit costs 1.5K, S3T donor bike must be worth 2K min so 4.5K is a bargain.

Dave

So, Dave, how often do you go beyond 95 mph ?........and then go on to do the bikes max of circa 130ish :?
The whole point of a Buell IMO is that it's a naked streetfighter......if you want a properly faired bike that has real performance, then the world's your oyster ie. there's dozens of very aerodynamic bikes out there to choose from
