Mark - that's great news

-------------------------------------
The timetable for 'Em's Day' and the LAHC 25th Anniversary has now been finalised:

Avro Lancaster taxi-run 1.00pm
BBMF Avro Lancaster flying display 2.40pm
Avro Lancaster taxi-run 3.00pm
B-17 Flying Fortress flying display 3.30pm

Em's Day runs from 10.00am until late afternoon and admission for those arriving by motorcycle is £7.00 each for all riders and pillions. Admission for children, 6 to 15 years, is £3.00. Please try to have the correct money available when you arrive - thank you.

Because this years event is expected to be very busy, on arrival in the main car park all motorcyclists will be directed straight ahead to where we will have the UKBEG gazebo set up to process arrivals. We won't be using the main gates for access to the display area as in previous years.

This helps to keep the main gates clear for public admissions and also means you can park your motorcycle up near the UKBEG gazebo and check in at a more leisurely pace before riding into the display area.

If you're arriving on four wheels instead of two then please park in the main car park and come and check in with us because if you go straight to the main public entrance you may be charged the normal £10 admission rate.

That's me got the time off work and will be camping next door at East Kirkby Hideaway with the Raptor lot and it's only £6 pppn and there's a cheap pub just around the corner.
Anyone that fancies camping just say your part of the Raptor lot and we can all camp together. The weather forecast looks good so no excuses.
See you all there.

Excellent news Norrie, it'd be good to see you again.

Em's Day 2013 is shaping up very nicely, with lots of interest across various forums. Even the weather looks as though it'll be on our side - for a change :D...

I was really looking forward to Em's Day but unfortunately I won't be able to make it. My Uly has broken down big time. I just had the bike fixed after my accident (that was 3 months ago; that's how long it took to get the insurance moving and get the parts). The fan failed, the engine over-heated and fried some of the electrics. No way it will be fixed by Friday. :(

I've only managed about 150 miles on the Buell this year. This is really depressing.

Anyway, I'll see some of you at Silverstone for the WSBK.

Yann

Yann - sorry to read that you've got problems with your Ulysses, if you can't make it to East Kirkby then we'll see you @ Silverstone WSB.

Anybody from the North coming from the Grimsby direction that fancies meeting up at Louth for a ride across the wolds to east Kirkby meet at John Darkes garage here https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=ln110ea&ie=UTF-8&hl=en
It will show as a Total petrol station on Google streetview but it has now changed to Gulf .
The plan is to meet there at 9am ready to leave about 9-15 and we will be going from louth across to Horncastle then through Revesby past the redlion pub where I believe a few of the reprobates are staying and then just along the road to East Kirkby approx. 23 miles of very good biking roads 8-)

I think the ECU is fine. A couple of fuses and relays blew, saving the important stuff. The bike is with my mechanic but it won't be ready for the weekend. Apparently the position of the fan makes it a pain to replace.

Righto folks, I better get myself a bit organised as I arrived home today. It was looking a bit dodgy for a while. Where are peeps staying? any spare places/cancellations. I was going to try the Scampton visit too but it seems that Mervyn can't cope with late bookings or anything that isn't carbon copied in duplicate;probably due to national security and all that. :headbang: :rotfl: Oh well I'm sure Sonya's patience would have worn a bit thin anyway :D
