So good, so many good people...

so much sleep....

(yes, that was sleep, not sheep)

Yoffe made his presence felt, as ever.

If I have to, I'll drag Vicki and the dog there next time.

(Adam and Paula - you did us proud - thanks)

Dave

What a great weekend! Thanks particularly to our charming hosts Paula and Adam, to Beef for the tunes, to Goldy for the delicious home-baked bread, and to Steed for a rustling up reviving bacon and black pudding rolls on Sunday morning.

The ride home was fun and almost uneventful. We got a good soaking between Telford and the A14, the rain unfortunately obscuring the panoramic views of Birmingham normally to be enjoyed from the M6, but otherwise a dry run. Mo stopped me just after Peterborough to indicate that my silencer was flapping about, but nylon cable ties held it securely in place for the rest of the journey.

A relatively brief appearance for me at Deliverance this year after a long day at work and a high speed run from Newmarket to Pant in 2 hrs 15 mins.

Thanks to Holly for her boundless enthusiasm rushing to be the first to greet me then taking care of my alcohol while I got out of my riding gear. Thanks for the beer, Ibis :yup:

More thanks to BA and FS for saving me from erecting my own tent when they made their spare "room" available to me complete with inflatable bed, sleeping bag, pillow and CJ alarm clock :4roz:

As always thanks to Adam, Paula, Tamsin and Leila for their hospitality and for waiting for my arrival before the traditional visit to Yoffi's tree. It's an emotional moment that always guarantees something spectacular and Yoffi and Emma didn't fail us by presenting the most incredible downpour at the exact moment that we made the ascent :D

As usual numerous people had gone to great efforts to prepare and bring along various home made delights but my main benefit was from Crabbitbear's home brewed concoctions. Had large samples of "Black Night" and "Purple Pain" and can vouch for their effectiveness.

Had loads of great hugs and thanks to everyone for their good wishes I'll keep you all posted on my next big adventure next weekend :?

Hopefully :maz: got to sort Noj's woes on his XB12X following his call to me at work while preparing for his trip to Deliverance next weekend :rotfl: Rather a late arrival after recovery by both the AA and Adam's Transit lOl

Until the next time :4roz:

Steve
