UKBEG members who also own Italian motorcycles/cars may be interested in this event which takes place on Sunday 8th September:

'This years Great Western Italian Day will take place along the harbour side outside the M Shed Museum in Bristol. This museum tells the story of Bristol in its many aspects and offers a great view from its roof terrace. Additionally there are various other attractions within walking distance, not least the SS Great Britain, so join us from 10.00am for a great day out.

Entry will cost £2/car or two-wheeler, all of which will go to the Museum. There is no need to pre-book, just turn up on the day.

We really enjoyed last years GWID in Swindon so we thought we'd travel down to Bristol next weekend - weather permitting of course :D ....

Nick - lunch at the M Shed on Sunday sounds good, it'd be great to meet up again.

 Will your dad be at GWID 2014 on his Guzzi? Taken at the BIAMF in April:

Ah, Gordano services, just before the black S1 crashed the party... :run:

I was thinking lunch should be at Brunel's Buttery the other side of the steam crane.

OK Nick, that sounds good to us.

A quick Google shows that Brunel's Buttery :eat: is a 'Bristol Institution' - much like yourself :D....

'Bristol Severn View' M48 Junction 1 - Moto services.

I'm not sure what time we'll arrive. We have all day and plan to use, as much as possible, a scenic non-motorway route. We'll text you when we check-in.

Great to see the CJ & JJ again after way too long :4roz:

Top butty @ Brunels.

Sat and had a coffee in the M Shed watching the rain pass.

I missed the yokels time I got back, they'd all gone home cold :old:

:sun:

Another cracking weekend :P...

We covered 426 miles in total and for all but ½ mile in the Forest of Dean on Saturday the roads were dry - amazing given the forecast for scattered heavy showers.

GWID 2014 was held in a great location along the harbour side. There was plenty of interesting machinery although the number of motorcycles was a bit disappointing.

It was great to meet up with Nick and Kev who arrived on their S1's - thanks for coming along guys :yup:...

Would have been three S1's but had to do a family lunch thing (which I hate!)
