I don't really get it there seems to be a theme about trying to get as many bikes customised to a cafe racer style, but each to there own. It don't look to bad though just not for me I prefer the look of an x1

:headbang: Sorry but in my opinion thats a bit of a dogs dinner.........I've looked at a fair fiew of this companies creations and 'cafe racer' they ain't avant guard modern art.....hmmmm may be :ill: but if form don't follow function .....would like to know if they handled well etc. Seems to me that they have become famous for being famous and designing bikes for folks with more money than sense.
Personally I'd rather my S1wl  gorgeous and expensive to maintain :rotfl:

Dave Degens (laterly of Dresda) invented the custom cafe racer. He wouldn't have liked that bike  He would have approved of the S1/X1 though :yup:

Don't like it, it'll never handle as well as the original bike, I find the whole modern cafe racer thing a cringe, it misses the point for me :?

I can't say I've ever ridden a cafe style bike that handled as well as the bike they started with.

I can be nostalgiac about many things. I like vacuum tubes and vinyl, big block t-buckets and muscle cars and '20s and '30s auto sheet metal work, chicks in leather mini skirts with 80s big hair...

But I do not miss the ill handling motorcycles of yesteryear one bit. I think my disdain for the look of cafe style racers has much to do with their association with crappy ride quality, poor reliability and oil on the garage floor.

I can only admire it from a historical POV and the technical progression at that point through the years.
