RIGHT.hyd lifters there comeing out like a set o bad teeth :yup: ,THEY WEIGHT 124 grams FFS :shock: .passed this info on to von ..........CANNOT repeat wot he said :shock: :o :shock: :o .so adjustable rods ,vons design light weight lifters ,top end lubrication to be supplied off the scavenge side via drop nozzels in the rocker covers,.....THE BEST BIT more oil can now be feed to the big end,.............NOW do need to carfull here .....there are oil jets cooling the under side of the pistons...very grey area this :rotfl: :rotfl: THESE ARE EXCITING TIMES :D :D

To get more oil to the big end, why can't you just increase the orifice size at the pinion end of the crank? Do you need more oil? I thought the big problem was that Grumbly's oil pump gear failed...

If you are concerned about weight, why are you going for adjustable pushrods? What is the weight of the tappets preventing you from doing? Only from increasing the speed at which valve bounce occurs. And the 497s you are fitting have a lower max acceleration than the 556s you are removing which makes mass tolerance greater...

Only asking by the way, I am sure you guys are on top of it...

Willy, I disregard most of what you try to write because I know it's just regurgitated stuff you get from himself.....but I have to say, from what you've just posted, that I have serious doubts regards Vons credentials ie. reckon he's losing the plot.....must be spending too much time with your goodself :roll:

nick you REALY need to spend a day with brain, the valve train has weight ,it needs controlling.the lighter you can make the vavle train.....you can reduce spring rate ,,,,,,this releases HP and lets the engine spin up qucker ...YOU know all this shit ,i dont think useing adjustable push rods with brians own light weight lifters is gonna weight the same as the standerd set up FFS ,,,,,,the fuking lifters weight a QUATER OF A FUKING POUND .....124 grams........ :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
