The devaluation of the GBP has hit second hand bikes sales is a positive way ... so dealers are taking the piss somewhat.

If you were to advertise the bike, Adam, and gain exposure for the advert in Germany, then I think you may get a good return ...
There is a shortage of secondhand UK bikes as the Euros are snapping them all up at bargain basement prices. It's the parallel bikes boom in reverse .....

The 1125s flopped completely in Germany, so I'm not sure, if things would work the same way as with XB models. Furthermore, many dealer bikes for demo/event purposes recently went back to the company and changed owner for *really* low prices, these have or will hit market also, causing some kind of saturation.

Some dealers here sold brand new bikes to Europe and now wonder why they have no stock until their next allocation in September. They've only just cottoned on that they have no 2nd hand stock either because there was no part-ex's on the european sales :headbang: You drive past some of these showrooms and it looks like they are going out of business with the lack of stock.

I am on my second 1125R - I write the first off - hitting a Ducati that had fallen in front of me (sense of irony in this post). I bought the Buell after getting fed up with rebuilding my Ducati! - I reckon I paid for it 3 times in 2 years!

anyway - the first bike (written off, with cracked frame & swingarm) sold off the salvage company's website for over £3k, so tell whoever's offering you £3.5 to take a hike.

Best on the market (they're still clearing out the Buell demo stock) is around £5,400 with about 1,500 on the clock. So sell it privately, even eBay will give you a better return that 3.5k!

Best of luck.

Motorapido sounds like a motorcycling kiddy fiddler. Too late now, the deed is done :D Would you like to buy a top spec 1125R dead cheap ;)

Moto Course is just down the road from me and the bloke who runs it spent about an hour telling me about the motor and showing me one in bits for Blueprinting. Nice bloke and doesn't mind you poking around the workshop 8-)

Fuck me! Riders wouldn't let me anywhere near their workshop, presumably not to wake anyone up. :tosser:
