my oil pump gear was as badly worn at 23,000mls ,luckily caught in the nick of time...

just doing mine now along with the 1250 kit and cutting the timing cover down. 106000kms on the clock and the pump gear looks fine in situ but I'll get a better look when I've taken it off.

If anyone thinks they don't need their gear, I am more than willing to buy it back at the original purchase price.

If anyone else wants a gear, let me know, and we can get another order in.

And if you want to replace yours but are worried you may make a pigs ear of it or don't have the time etc., get on touch with , he holds stock and will be only too pleased to fit one.

its getting fitted pash no worries, it seems some engines wear the gear badly but others don't. but once its changed its sorted regardless.

How much are they Nick? Desperately hoping to get the buell back on the road this year, to ride lands end to john o groats...

Maz keeps stock. If I were you Del, I would take your bike to him cos it will need to be fitted.

Alternatively put up a wanted ad, there are about 40 that have been bought and not been fitted.

It's a lot of work to do with no performance result at the end but it does give peace of mind

I'd say the difference between an engine that works and an engine that's full of shrapnel is a pretty major performance improvement
