I have a Albert exhaust on my X1 which was the first made to copy the race system. Sounds great and performance went up hugely, but had problems with the rear bracket on the can snapping 3 times now. So new bracket being fabricated to eradicate the problem, think new can may be the solution. I'm taking nothing away from Al as his work is second to non, the one that he copied was not the original one as we found out later. This is the one that I need making.

I used both original mounting points and a rubber bobbin on mine.
Haven't put enough miles on the bike yet to thoroughly test it though...

Yours is a Vance and Hines though, it is not? I should get it fixed cos one day it might break off completely and go under your rear tyre. At best you will need a new exhaust and a change of underwear...

Oh right... :oooops:

I need to find some cardboard to send the built-like-a-tank-race-can to Albert...

Anyone got any tips on how to get the end off an Albert can without marking it? :?
Mines well in. I want to fit a baffle, but can't get the end off the can.

Ok, I need to ask this of Albert...

What would it take to build me an exact copy of the full race exhaust and all bracketry? I gotta say, I'm not loving the D&D system on my X1. I had 2 Buell Pro-Series full systems on past bikes and they just plain worked properly. Would love to have one again.

Oh, and what the hell is wrong with me? Buying a 14 year old bike only to spend butt loads of money on it...
