Yeah...all booked!! We are stopping overnight at Ashford on the Friday night (£29 Premier Inn!) and euro tunnel 10.36 out, 14.50 back £30 each! What a bargain weekend!

Always an excellent weekend.

Chaps,

As a virgin Lauwe visitor could some explain what occurs?

Is it just camping in a field or a proper camp site with facilities or just some dudes back garden?

And is it just a mad dash over and dash back the next day?

Any insight gratefully received, oh and if there's any pictures all the better.

Many thanks, Mark.

Well Mark, its a trip to Belgium for a BBQ+Beer + plenty of piss take, camping depends on what's available at the time, all on site which is a farm, could be a big field, small field (just stack the tents on top of each other) the field with the sheep and goats, highly sought after by certain members, no names mentioned But the Nickname Mo*o might be a clue, or the barn !!!!!!!!! if you don't mind the cattle and guinea pig smell but its dry lol, or the other option is stay up till we leave in the morning and we sober you up with the hose, you will be surprised, on the way over we normally stop at Cassel in France for lunch, the longest part of the journey for most of us is to get to Euro tunnel, a few of us meet @ the overspill services about 5 miles from tunnel its junction 11, and a sedate or possibly spirited ride.....great fun :D

I think Blackrag has covered most of it....as long as you take his comments with a pinch of salt.
It's fun weekend with plenty of cheap beer, live music and good food. Camping is basic, just bring a tent and sleeping bag. Toilet is the nearby hedge. Baby wipes are your morning shower...!! The hospitality of the Belgians is second to none. If you book your Eurotunnel now it will cost you £30 return. Great value for money.

Thanks Gill,

Looks good, now just need all the stars to align with holidays and bike and wife and kids and we're off!

Oh and is there a Welsh contingent making the trip? Happy to tag along if there is.

Mark.

Hey Kevmean, I think we will need to ask for a larger area to camp in this year. It was rather cosy last year although we all managed to find some space, and this year there seem to be many more people interested and lots have already booked the Eurotunnel...

It's going to be a great party. :yup:

Booked my tunnel crossings last night and the 0920 is now sold out (actually there was a message saying "Mojo and Beef on this one, not recommended!" lOl ) Booked 0936 out and 1520 back.

Didn't go with their travel insurance but the poor old S1W is now too old to qualify :?

Me and my brother Gary have not booked yet, but are fully intending to be there. He is just back from a month riding the length of Vietnam on a 125 Yamaha scooter along with a few mates. We are going to sit down, (if he can) in the next couple of weeks to work out a plan for the following week. Chances are we will be in Spa Francorchamps the weekend after for a dose of motorcycle GP nostalgia. Plenty of options for the days (daze) in between. Any ideas Kev?

Yep we've booked almost the same. Same hotel, same train out but we are on the 12:36 (local time) on the way back so that we'll be back in Portsmiff by about 2ish and miss the rain. Just like the last two years.
