I'm 6ft 2 and quite a lot of stone..... ;) I've ridden a xb12s and felt the bike was a wee bit on the small side for me....and when I had a go on the Uly if felt a lot better for me.....once converted into a bomber it more or less becomes a xb12s long only a bit taller which works out for me just fine... :)

Exactly  .....an STT is a 'bomber' straight from the factory ie. a 12S in a 12X height

Right I'm with u now didn't know there was this model (in my defence.... :|) my only defence is that Uly's are in my price bracket and I like building bikes so doing this little conversion will be fun..... :D (thanx for the education...lol)

I also like building bikes but prefer not to build ones I can just buy off the shelf.

There is also an STT on ebay at the moment

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Buell-XB12STT ... 35d2ae1672

and as it happens there is also a lighning long XB12-SS

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BUELL-XB12-SS ... 3cddf013f2
Although some tosser has lowered it  :headbang: so would require rectifying.

Both are ideal for you to ride this summer rather than spend its summer on a paddock stand in your garage.

Why lower an XB ? unless you're trying to spoil one of it's best attributes, namely it's handling. :yt: tosser

I have a price limit but both of those are higher than my limit.....Uly's are a lot cheaper than other Buell's, as for buying a cheap Buell no point as it'll be more trouble than it's worth but that go's for most bikes....

I have to say that I started the Bomber project as I wanted more of an upright 'supermoto-esque' Buell but didn't prefer the 'adventure' looks of the Uly.

I found the STT too low... AND I already had a Uly

Also, I think the slightly larger Uly 'head' looks more in proportion than the small unit on the STT/Lightnings

Anyhoo... glad you like.

I was a peach to ride (before I sold it). If I ever go back to a Buell it'll be another Uly/Bomber.

But I'm enjoying my MT-OS too much right now! (sacrilege I know, but it is darn good)
