You'd struggle to get anywhere near that even if you parted it out

Try building a bike to that spec and see how much it costs to put it together.....a lot more than 7 grand....I know, the problem is trying to recoup the dosh, probably aint gonna happen but then I didn't do mine to sell it......ever

 fine plan, wish I had thought of it.........

I am looking for a bike for a project, and yours would fit the bill at a "planet Earth" price.... however, the joy of a free market is that you are free to ask as ludicrous a figure as you wish, as others are free not to buy it.

I still think the bike is too cheap, but then I know what it's cost and selling at £7k it will be a massive moneypit.
I cleaned and polished it yesterday, then took it out for a spin and it's great. If it doesn't sell it doesn't sell and I will get rid of another bike for the space.

OF - there are plenty of £3-4K X1's on ebay/this forum/bike trader

.....and I will get round to buying one eventually......and a shortage of space is best dealt with by buying or building another garage or two.......

That's the problem with ploughing cash into a bike, u'll never get it back, I got a few m8's on the zrxoc with big budget bikes (2 of them are at the thick end of £30k while others are around £15-£20k) one was sold last yr and went for around £9k but was sold to someone who knew what went into it and wanted it, the average person won't understand it, and will argue that u can get a better, faster and better handling bike from the showroom......modding a bike is a personal thing which many don't understand except for the person building it.....looking for that buyer is like looking for the needle in the haystack so it's either good luck or keep it and move something else on and enjoy the bike......JMO.....

I agree Maxx.

I am trying to reduce my bikes from 7 to 3 but instead I'm reluctant to let any go and keep seeing new ones. Maybe OF is right, I should move into the garage and convert the house.

You also have to take into account the bits that are no longer available, I have had one of my x1 ,s for eight years and over this time have been constantly upgrading it and you simply loss count of extras, your Buell will never be finished because you can always find something that can be made better :eat:

One man's upgrade is another's piece of tat that needs to be replaced.......

Finding a buyer that shares your taste in modifications is tricky enough; finding one that's prepared to pay for them all might take a while!
Good luck anyway.
