So... the person I bought the bike from also had this in the back of their shed from the previous owner. I've only just seen it today. Certainly not very pretty, perhaps agricultural is the best word. Anyone seen anything similar or is this a homemade job?

Headers go into a 2.5" straight through tube basically. loud I'm guessing.

Cool. Buell Pro Race. Very sought after. Expensive when for sale.

Ah... interesting. Cheers folks. Might have to try that at some point then. I'll give it a polish first.

Perhaps after the upcoming MOT... what are the chances of it being road legal?

Erm... None... But if you moderate your throttle around town you wont have any issues...

i have noticed the muffler rattles a little when I pick it up, like something in the internals are a bit loose. Is this normal? I can imagine with the amount of vibration it'll be subjected to that this could be quite an annoying noise.

will do pash, cheers yet again.

I looks as simple as drilling out the pop-rivits, repacking and re-rivetting. am i missing anything?

I'll maybe post some pics before and after my attempts at polishing it up too.

When repacking, I hold the matting in place with masking tape so that it slips into the can without rucking up. The tape soon burns away :yup:
