Travelodge update - seems they have an issue with rooms and are overbooked!

Just took a call from a nice lady asking if I would like to move to the Travelodge in Loughborough.
I explained that I would not, as i was there to meet up with other UKBEG'ers and since I had booked the room back in December would be more than a little upset if I had to.

She said she would do her best not to, but could not promise anything.

Not sure if anyone lease has taken a similar call?

Is this the CJ Travelodge that you're in Mike?

Yes it is :?....

After reading Mike's post I phoned our Travelodge near Donington (0203 195 4919) and their central booking office (08719 848484) to complain about the situation and told them it was totally unacceptable that this particular hotel had been overbooked by 10 rooms.

There's not much that can be done at this late hour so it will be tomorrow when I'll know for sure what's happening.

I'm sorry things have gone pear shaped, this is the first time we've had any problems with Travelodge and we use them a lot.

Hi CJ

I called earlier on this evening and they confirmed our room reservation was ok so hopefully that doesn't change

Cheers. Neil

Just out of curiosity, can you tell me if we are allowed our bikes by our tents, or is there a separate and secure parking area for bikes like there is at Silverstone? Only been to Donington once before for a weekend camping travelling with the car, and we had to park our car outside of the camping area. Wasn't sure what happened with motorbikes though... Any advice, anyone?

Jill - I'm not sure, contact Donington direct info@donington-park.co.uk or phone 01332 810048.

Back to Travelodge :headbang: .....to the best of my knowledge we have the following UKBEG members staying at 'our' Travelodge but I don't know which nights they've booked or all the surnames they've used on their bookings....

CJ and Jane. (Jessop)
Pash (Pashley)
Richie (Bateman)
Mike_S (Salmon)
NeilC
Cylconedude
Rik

Neil, Cylconedude and Rik, let me have your surnames and can everybody let me know which nights they've booked so when I contact Travelodge later this morning I have all the information to hand. Thank you :D .....
