Well, seemed to have a reaction on the Faceblock page. What do you think to EBR's secret project I found.
Seems like (from the history I can gleen from Wickipedia - which we all know is the truth) after Erik was told he couldn't use his surname on any new bikes he decided to create the FBR: Freisian Bull Racing, using a slightly modified XB (the best model) with a freisian fly screen - to alleviate the problem with dead flies.
Initial testing proved to be going well on pre-production models but apparently due to a language problem with Chinese suppliers, the supplied cow pattern was from the REAR of the cow - and without adequate tail/fly squat the problem was worsened.
In a radical re-design Erik canned the Moo-uell design and went ahead with the rebrand of the EBR that we see today.
Who knows what could have been? Like Willies Hello Kitty version of the tuber, "for REAL men" it does show that as well as an excellent engineer with far-sighted visions, Erik really pushed the boundaries for R&D.
Lesson over, time for a picture:
