Hi all,

Due to a recent accident that I had on my new to me buell xb9s which was written off by the insurance company, I have for sale the unique registration plate. The road legal version is AXB 9S, and I also have the show plate reading A XB9S. From what I can gather from the previous owner it was worth keeping on retention for the future or sale. The to##er who decided to pull out on me has made me very cautious of getting back on my bike in the near future so a bit of money would be good for the plate.

I have a rough idea of its worth, but am open to offers!!!

We're doing reg plates again

Do an advanced riding course and see if you still feel as in danger when you ride.

Aaaah, cheers for the reply Andy!

It was on the list of things to do but I didn't think it was worth it as I'd only been passed 3 weeks. And before you say it, there were about 100 witnesses to the accident and I was riding perfectly, it's funny how an oap can't see a bike riding in the command position in broad daylight doing 30mph....

Should have to re take tests when they do something like that

Its early days to be put off, use it as a lesson not to do because it hurts.
I wasn't going to say it was your fault, what an advanced course would do for you is make you realise it doesn't matter who's fault it was, its you that gets hurt.

Don't get me wrong, its happened to me more than once.

Andy

No offence intended, but I think that you may be better off in a car.

Considering this is a for sale forum, thinking we'd be talking price etc.... What's with all the advice about riding?

Don't mean to cause any offence but if I WERE seeking advice on how to improve my riding, either via an advanced course or better still sticking to driving on 4 wheels, do you not think that I would have started the topic elsewhere????

Again, don't mean to cause offence, but have you not got anything better to do than kick a man who's down, and also down to his last pennies in the bank trying to raise a bit of money doing the only thing that's available at the minute.

Andy offered you some excellent, we'll intentioned, advice since he's a well respected member of an ENTHUSIAST club. If you followed it, you may become an enthusiast too. We're not EBay, so here's another  in my Post.
