Tail plastic - not fussed on colour or to a certain extent condition.

Seat - standard or aftermarket, again not fussed about condition although having a seat fixing wing screw to suit would be good.

;) ;)

I don't fancy your chances on this. I take it you bought a Cyclone.

sure did and i'm very happy with it....apart from the wiiiiiiiiiide seat!
S1 seat feels better to me and i prefer the looks :yup:

If i stumbled upon £1k then trojan would have the obvious solution, but apart from the cash outlay i'd rather do the mod myself........
Surely someone must have a beaten up old s1 tail plastic collecting dust ?_____________ :uhoh:

Unfortunately, I don't think that you are the first person to have had this idea in the last 10 years. Good luck with the search. :yup:

Can't you re-use the Cyclone seat screw?

dunno yet! need a rear tail plastic mounted and then something to srew it to! ;)

I've a feeling that the screw will be the same for both seats....just maybe the length may need adjusting.
Or thats what i'm hoping for.........if mr buellboy reads his pm inbox and can part with said goods! :worthy: :yup: :yup:

If you can't find an S1 unit, how about a skinny m2 seat unit (not that I've got one). Same width as the S1, just longer, and probably easier to retrofit to a lardy m2 than the S1 unit  I'd guess there's more of them around, and no queue to buy one.

There is a reason for that.

The skinny M2 seat units fracture with vibration.
When I put a S1 tail unit onto my M2, I reused the buttress thread bolt. Never had much to do with the lardarse M2 but I'd imagine making a skinny M2 rear fit would as much mither as an S1 rear.
If you're careful with a Mig/Tig, there's no need to disconnect the oil lines while you're welding up the subframe ;)

My lardy seat unit has cracked too! Not that that bothers me, its more the width of the seat-s1 being narrower it'll be much more comfy for me ( small ass, big thighs!), also the look of the short tail is is just what i want.
Mac has a razorback M2 which i've 'inspected' and yeah, it would be an easier mod to fit that, but i'm ok at metal bashin! Rearframe will be tig'd, oil tank will be removed before final welding, i'll be repainting from the fuel tank back so it'l only be in the way. Will have to make a carrier bracket for the tail light, numberplate and indicators too. Looking forward to doing this...will certainly be putting my mark on an already well sorted M2.

:yup:
