Speedo and Tacho jump about? Only common inputs are ground and 12V. This could be harness failure at the headstock but is unlikely since the engine misbehaves too.

Tacho only? Either of those two, the coil or the Cam Position Sensor. My money would be on the CPS or the harness between that and the ECM. Logging data with ECMSpy will help with this.

How am I going to get it logged on emspy?

There wasn't a single fault code coming up , but the lads were saying they don't have the right kit to test for the lot.

Anyone with a trailer going up to. Manchester any time? Petrol of and lots of beer tokens.

Surely they would have checked headstock chaffing etc?

If you can't get a trailer - are you covered by the AA or similar with recovery? If you are, get it recovered to Maz. If you've spent loads and really want to keep it, it's worth a try :yup:

They may be 'fantastic bunch of lads' and 'friend of the family' and all that, but they are clearly not equipped nor experienced in the matter of diagnosing and fixing your Buell.
Nor do they appear to be shy when it comes to billing you...
How is that 'fantastic'?
How is that 'friendly'?
How is that 'family'?
Yet another story of a workshop that takes money off people for not fixing things.
Get it to Maz.

I'm not sure the AA will recover it to Manchester, especially as it's off the road at the moment?

Dilemma is : worth spending more on it? Sell as is

Christ, I've just read the thread about the Emporium. Sounds like an horrific ordeal.

I'll see if I can get a video of the bike doing the problem and post it up.

I'll then see what's in the bank and...contact :maz:

What's wrong with people?
It takes two parties for this situation to arise;
i) An unethical tradesman, and
ii) A weak customer.
If customers grew some balls/teeth, unethical tradesmen would be driven to change their ways.

Is this the xb12x with an S subframe? If it is then I would bet it is electrical/loom issues related to that swop.
