Everything's OK for this Sunday's event, the weather's looking good and all 3 Lancasters are fully operational*.

Last Tuesday's event which was cancelled is now rescheduled for Sunday 14th September - which we'll also be going to :P ....

By the kind permission of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum we have been able to replace the cancelled flying on the 2nd September 2014 with an event on Sunday 14th September 2014.

All those who had tickets for the 2nd September 2014 will gain free entry to the event on presentation of your ticket. If you cannot attend the replacement event please do contact the Centre and if we can resell your ticket we can arrange a refund for the face value of the ticket.

The 3 Lancasters events are raising funds for the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, Avro Lancaster NX611 and a charity chosen by the RAF BBMF.

Tickets for the 2nd September 2014 are NOT valid on the 7th September 2014.

(* At this time of writing :D )

Fingers crossed for the 14th.

I did manage to catch the 3 bomber flypast a couple of weeks ago (the two Lancasters and Vulcan). Something I doubt I'll see again!

A magical day, the Lancasters, the weather and the ride there and back...

We've been members of the LAHC since 1990 and I can safely say today's event was simply the best :P....

Don, we've had to wait just over a year for its release but it's been worth waiting for.

It's a superb documentary and tells the whole story of how they flew the Lancaster over from Canada plus a brief history of Bomber Command. The aerial photography is some of the best I've ever seen.

Highly recommended :yup:.....
