Good Evening All

Been looking at upgrading the poor standard candle on the front of my X1 with one that might get me seen a little better and help me see a bit better.
Been looking at one of these: Ebay Item: 380294129407 has anyone bought one, tried one, seen one or fitted one?

Have you lost the chrome inside the headlamp? The one on my S1 is second to none...

Good point, the glass has a milky grey shade to it which I had planned to address when attending the upgrade, as for the reflector it looks good but the bulb doesn't seem very bright at all so I came to the conclusion it was standard to the model.
Put it this way the headlight is nowhere near as bright as the old X light or XT light. (XB12X & XT)

I'd suggest that there must be something wrong with your existing light unit or bulb as they are normally said to be the best light fitted to any Buell as standard.

XB lights are rubbish in comparison to the big round tuber light. If I go out at night, I take the S1.

Sounds like I need to investigate a potential problem before I upgrade, thanks for the pointers Gents :yup:

Has anyone seen those new headlights that look like they have an 'outer' side light type affect? They look like they're LED. They look pretty good. I reckon they'd look pukka on an X1 :D

IIRC the Buell X1 headlight is the same as some BMW & Ducati :eat:

Have a look first if it's possible to clean the headlight glass (the inside to) before you get new parts!
also good thing to check and clean the electric connectors.

Yeah, clean up your lens, socket contacts and get a new bulb.

The light on my X1 is amazing at night. Only bike I had that had a better headlight was the Guzzi NTX which was fit for a lighthouse. I wish my Dyna had one that good, 'cuz that stock 6 incher really sucks.
