Hi ,
I have been told the side stand bolt on XB s is prone to snapping where size reduces to the thread on lower part , Im intending to fit a clevis pin about 12.5 mm or 1/2 inch whichever I can find , this will need drilling out of lower part of side stand ( threaded bit ) , but looks a lot smaller than top of side stand , about 20mm , if I stick a 12.5 mm drill through it will it still be strong enough? , has anyone else done this ? Wanted to upload some pictures as my explanation might not be good ,but Im not clever enough, Thanks Dave

I have drilled the standard set up many times to take the later clevis and have had no issues.
