Well, it will be fitted, but first it'll go on the mantelpiece for a while.

Just a thought regarding the fact that all oil pump gears live on the Mantlepeice before fitting (both mine did) I wonder if anyone has had one fail while the replacement was living on the Mantlepeice???

I think it has to live on the mantelpiece for a while to help the hardening process

I've had a couple of bikes in with failed drive gears......the owners supplied replacements from Pash which had sat on the mantlepiece.......

The mantleplace is your friend then maz

Guess so.....good for me but real bad for the idiots that buy these gears and dont fit them

.......although, I've also had work from those that've tried to fit them and fucked up big time, which is much easier to do than some might think
