Nope, basic principles dictate that a CV could never be as efficient as a flatslide, regardless of engine set-up.

Do the same basic principles not dictate that a CV carb, which opens more slowly at a rate more consistent with the increasing fuel flow, feels smoother than a flatslide which, if cracking the throttle fast enough, can increase the airflow faster than the fuel flow and thus cause some hesitation?

CV carbs feel smoother and work at a wider variety of throttle openings and engine speeds. Flatslides are more efficient but also more suited to those who rag their arse out of their motors.

I'm very happy with my CV carb set up, but if you are in a generous mood, you can send me an EBC Prolite FOC and I'll send you my completely fucked original by return of post. ;) :lol: :lol: :lol:
