I should be there but on the BM as the X1 has been declared a 'Total Loss'. 20 mph, no broken bones but lots of pain and a little damage. I'll be chatting to a couple of Insurance brokers I know to see the best way forward. Krazy Horse is one of the places I go for a coffee on a Sunday, 100m round trip, and well worth the trip.

Not good fella, hope you are Ok. How much damage to the X1?

Technically not my fault but everything was wrong. Normally I'd have known that the car in the side road was coming out. When he did I braked, locked front wheel and hit the deck with my right arm out straight. How I didn't break a wrist is beyond me, unfortunately the shock has knocked rib cage, back & shoulders all over. I had a quick massage yesterday which has helped as do my stretching exersizes.
Going to invest in training and an air bag waistcoat.
The Buell has a nick in front wheel, scraped axel, brake lever, brake pedal, footpeg, scraped belly pan hugger and airbox, front mudguard smashed.
Could have been a lot worse, so I'm lucky and I've learnt from the experience.
My friends have been really helpful with suggestions, mainly along the lines of 'don't fall off' and 'don't get old'!
Looking forward to next Saturday.

...how is that a 'total loss'? Presumably you'll be buying that back off them pdq?...
Oh, and sorry to hear of your injuries too, Pedrow, heal fast!

Krazy Horse must have spent a fortune on their new website.
Shame they couldn't add their address to it. :headbang:

Details have now been confirmed for Saturday’s event:

The BBQ will run from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

The burgers etc. won’t be free as previous Easter BBQ’s at Black Bear. Krazy Horse are organising everything and they will have additional catering staff to cover the event. This year Jane and I won’t be cooking and serving food so we can chill out with the rest of you :D .....

When you enter Lamdin Road there is a turning on the left where you will see Krazy Horse, Ace Café etc. logos. That turning takes you to the front of the original showroom where the café is. If you ignore that turning and continue about 50 metres you will find the new showroom on the right where there will be space for us to park. We will have some Buell/EBR banners on display.

We’ve had to change our plans for the Easter weekend so we won’t be staying Friday and Saturday night in Bury St Edmunds.

Only a couple of days to go and feeling confident that I'll be riding up 8-) Was reminded the other day that this will be my third Birthday BBQ in succession with some kind of ailment  2013 Just diagnosed for prostate cancer 2014 On sick leave with cellulitis, came in for the day but had to rest with my foot elevated 2015 Recovering from hernia operation last Thursday. Surgeon said I would be okay to drive if I was able to endure an emergency stop but felt that riding the bike would be too much  Think I'll be the judge of that lOl
