Got home from work this lovely evening and thought I'd pop the seat off to do a quick oil check. Never had a problem doing this before in my ownership of the bike.

Tonight however the key won't turn in the lock and therefore the cable will not pull to allow the seat to release. I have WD'd the lock (I have no other penetrating oil) so will try again later.

The lock is on a carbon undertray and if it doesn't work I need to find another way 'in'

Anyone got a decent method to remove the seat from 'above'?

Can't help you with this one Jez, but the bike sounds f**ked. I'll chance my arm and offer you a monkey......Let me know....

WD did the trick for now.........so you'll need a little more than a monkey!
