Gunter – it’d be great to see you again, it’s been 4 years since we last met. Our mobile number hasn’t changed.

Looking at our itinerary for Saturday 11th July we will aim to catch the 12:15 or 12:45 sailing from Rødby, Denmark to Puttgarden, arriving at 13:00 or 13:30. Based on those timings we will be able to spend an hour or so with you before continuing onto Hotel-Gasthaus Burmester, Everstorfer Str. 7, Heidenau, 21258, a distance of approximately 122 miles. We have until 18:00 to check in.

I'm looking forward meeting you again (weather permitting ...). I will have to return to Bremen or Cologne on Saturday. I suppose, time will not permit a visit to Hamburg, but Lübeck, if you like.

Gunter – I’m sure we’ll sort something out; we’ll liaise with you by text nearer the date.

Thanks mainly to Jane’s :4roz: persuasiveness where she works we’ve now raised over £900 in pledges and offline donations for Em’s Charity. We’re very confident we will exceed our target of £1000 raised by this event.

Hey Nick – Jane says you have to come with us; she needs another UKBEG member/Buell rider to hold the other end of the Buell banner at the Nordkapp while I take the picture :D ...

We started this topic on the 27th October 2014 and finally we’re now at the day of departure. We can’t wait to roll off the ferry in the Netherlands tomorrow morning and start this trip, which is one of the biggest we’ve ever undertaken on two-wheels.

Hi from Sweden, we're now in Ronneby on the south coast. We've covered 741 dry miles so far. I don't know why we bothered packing the waterproofs, we probably won't need them :D....

Yesterday went really well with 424 miles from Europort to Heiligenhafen, Germany. What a way to spend my birthday, riding across the Netherlands and Germany in beautiful weather. Thanks for all the best wishes both on Facebook and through this forum.

Near Hamburg we met an intrepid group of trials riders from the Newcastle area who were riding up to Sweden for an off road holiday. No wimpy vans for these guys, they're doing the whole round trip on medium capacity machines equipped with knobblies and a small mountain of luggage :worthy:...

Another 357 dry miles covered today, making a total of 1098. We're now in Uppsala, north of Stockholm.

It's been a terrific days riding on great roads with hardly any traffic. We certainly picked some good routes along the coast and then inland through forests and lakes. Tomorrow, which is Jane's birthday, we're continuing north up the coast.

We're very impressed with the Garmin, at the end of each day it's taken us literally to the front door of our accommodation. I must admit I was sceptical about such devices but so far, so good. Appropriately Jane's nicknamed the Garmin 'Little Em' because the female voice on the unit is called Emily.
