I have a brand new silencer from a 2006 XB12X. The existing silencer on my 2008 XB12XT, is in a bit of a sorry state, so I was going to swap them over. As I understand it the 2006 silencer does not have a catalytic converter in it, but the 2008 one does? The part numbers for both silencers are the same (S0110.1AS), so are they a straight swap/ or will I need to remap the ECU? (I have a data cable and a reasonable knowledge of engine tuning).

It won't physichally fit unless you change the headers.

Ah, I hadn't thought of that. I wonder why the kept the part code the same across all the years? I guess I'll have to take my existing silencer off and give it coat of high temperature paint.
