Hello all,
I'm in the land of 'spoil the ship for a ha'pworth of tar' at the moment, looking for a new black sidestand (or as good as new) for a 97 M2 please (Not much paint left on mine).
Quick question, do all tubers use the same sidestand? Thanks

Powder coat it ?

Would do, but I've spent the last couple of months doing the bike up /restyling (rushing to get it ready in time for Copdock) and I'm trying not miss Copdock over a very tatty sidestand removed for coating. If I cannot find one quickly, I will probably powder mine after the show.

Stick a bit of paint on it for Copdock then powdercoat it afterwards !

Eric.

Another reason would be that I would have to travel ~20 miles to a powder coater to drop off and collect (time is too limited for post) and the way things are going at the moment I would need to take time out from work to do this (both times), which would cost me a great deal more than buying another stand. If I want it quickly and right i'm ideally looking to buy another.

:yt: half an hour rubbing the rust and flaky paint and a quick flash over with smoothright aerosol and it'll look like new.

I 'think' that Hammerite/Smoothrite paint is enamel based. Enamel thinners works with the stuff :)

It also runs very easily the spray on stuff. lots of thin coats or it'll run like Usain bolt.
