Buell made some changes to the emissions and noise abatement for the 2008 and up bikes. My 2008 XB12XT had a bit of a surge in the mid range when I got it. I fixed it with a Tubbs silencer mod and and EBR race EEPROM, the bike is much happier now.

My 10-plate XT has never suffered this problem, well at least not since my ownership anyhow, which is just over 12-months, but it has been greatly improved over stock with the addition of an Albert, a k&n filter and the breather mod.
Much more grunt right through the range I would say. :yup:

The biggest change for the 08/09/10 is the change to pre-08 headers, turning off noise abatement logic and a bit more advance at low throttle openings.

I bet they didn't need the noise abatement stuff, once they'd fitted the more restrictive headers and a catalytic converter in the Euro bikes?
