Was lovely on the track but the lack of engine braking took a bit of getting used to as it was non existant. Is this down to me de noiding it?

Has yours got an EBR ecm? I've got one on my 1125 track bike, and had the engine braking taken out of it as I didn't want engine braking on the track. Takes a bit of getting used to, but I love it now. Denoiding won't make any difference.

Mods look really good Ymale! Been thinking about doing the footpeg thing and those Halo bulbs look mean. How do you find the bar mirrors compared to the stock ones?

K,

Thanks buddy. I like the bar ends as I don't get much vibration and thought it just looked cleaner while giving me a good view.

When I look at the original pics of when I bought it it just looks right now where as when I bought it I thought it looked a bit odd so rushed to do things but if I did it again I think I would leave it as is ..

Always fun to tinker with them though ....still not sure about the look of the double bubble screen, what do you think?

Steve

K,

On the foot pegs they are a must and so is the seat as you gain an inch on each mod. When I bought it I had not ridden it much and went on here advising an older rider not to buy one based on ride position only to find that after doing the pegs and seat, it's the comfiest bike I've ever had and would now recommend to all where as before the seat hurt after a 2 hour ride.

Good tips Ymale thanks. I will be keeping an eye out for that Saddleman track carbon seat (that is it isn't it?) and at £92 great deal. I just paid that for an airhawk topper for the missus

The pegs... any tips on which ones to get? I seen them on ebay. Are they the ones you bought?

The double screen hmmmm...its never been my favourite look.. but that's just me. As for the bug antennae mirrors, I really like the lines on yours now you've changed to bar ends. I think seat and pegs first then I am a gunna look at bar ends.

Oh and those lights :yup:

K,

Bike looks great!

Foot pegs here in one and two inch. I am 5,11 and the one inch is perfect with the seat for the extra inch and I think the two inch might drag in the bends. Not cheap but nice quality and design. I have the rears as well but don't ride pillion.

Settled on the screen, it's going!. Best protection from the wind I've had on a bike but I like to get up into the air to slow down and with this screens protection I would have to stand on the seat.

Hahaha nice!

Thanks for the link! I'll let you know how it goes. If you hear of any of those seats going for that price too, do drop us a line. (None on ebay atm).

Cheers

Finally got around to fitting a new battery and have not been looking forward to it as its tight in there. Fitted one to my Mille which was greedy when it came to starting just like the Buell and the extra umph helped keep the sprag healthy.

I bought the battery just after doing rotor and stator but thinking it would need some fetling I have put it off until today. Took the tail fairing off and it slipped straight in and the connectors were screws instead of those fiddly nuts so half hour job tops.

Don't know if it's any better than the one I just changed but certainly felt like it when I started it.

MOTOBATT MBYZ16H HIGH POWER AGM MOTORCYCLE BATTERY (GYZ16H) 20% EXTRA POWER

On EBay for £56.99

I had wanted to change the double bubble screen back to the original as I just prefer the look but it's in the loft so it's staying until I can be arsed to go up and find it.

I'm thinking my battery has only one more season in it so thanks for that. Good info.
