We love Christmas shopping, as long as it doesn't involve Christmas shopping

While most of the UK seemed to be obsessed with visiting major shopping centres we thought we'd make the most of a beautiful day and go for a mini tour of the Peak District. Quiet, salt-free dry roads and stunning scenery made for a great ride.
We always call into Harleyworld when we're down that way so my Christmas shopping amounted to a few Buell consumables and a new pair of casual boots for Jane. She'd spotted these boots during our last visit and fallen in love with them but thought they were a bit pricey. My wallet took a bit of a bashing but, hey, Jane's worth it.
Shortly before we left an immaculate XB9R Firebolt pulled up. It used to be David Wood's Buell and still had the 2009 UKBEG Buell Challenge stickers on the screen. The new owner, Paul, loves the bike and is looking forwards to covering some miles on it next year. Hopefully we'll see it at Em's Day 2017.
To round the day off nicely, Jane's Breva 750 clocked up 114,000 miles
