The last time I stayed over l ended up camping on a site nearer to the coast and was nearly eaten alive by earwigs during the night. :ill: So it would have to be a raised bed on the top floor, attic or tall tower next time! lOl

Hey I'm organising with the Deep South crew to come up ...altho slightly paranoid and nervous about the 400 mile each way trip on my old girl )) I have a 2003 Xb9s if u would like to put it on show ? Possibly the only left hand drive model in the Uk or the world who knows ;) it's far from standard tho...but I'll be there on the Sunday if u would like to show it ?

Thanks, 'wobbly' :D, we have enough machines registered for the display in the main hanger but I'll put you on the reserve list.

And thanks for planning an 800 mile round trip to this event :worthy: :worthy:.....

In the very near future we're having a planning meeting for Em's Day at the LAHC. I'd like to establish as accurately as possible who on this list wants to leave their Buell/EBR at the Aviation Centre on the Sunday night. If you could confirm before this coming Saturday 28th it'd be a great help, thank you.

I think most people on the list are now stopping local to East Kirkby over the Bank Holiday weekend so arriving on site before 9.30am on the Monday wouldn't be a problem.

S2T Thunderbolt - Steve Loxton (Monday)
S3T Thunderbolt - Moltenpitbuell (Chris) (Monday)
S1 Lightning - Pash (Nick) (Monday)
M2 Cyclone - Coco (Phil) (Monday)
X1 Lightning - Sillyb (Nick)
XB12Scg Lightning - Shelly (Monday)
XB9R Firebolt - Jeznewsome (Monday)
Blast - Linda (Monday)
XB12X Ulysses - Delw (Derek) (Monday)
XB12STT - Att (Dave) (Monday)
1125CR - Kevmean
1125R - Kiwi (Nathan) (Monday)
EBR 1190RX - Albert666 (Alan) (Monday)
EBR 1190SX - Dave (Northants V-Twin) (Monday)
Ronin #43 – Neal (Ducati Sporting Club) (Monday)

I will arrive at the hideaway Sunday night CJ. What is the preference, in Sunday night or early Monday morning? What would the cut-off time be for drop off Sunday?

Nathan

Nathan, if you're staying local to LAHC then Monday morning before 9.30am would be the preferred time.

I'm not sure on the timings for Sunday arrivals, that's one of the things we'll be discussing at the planning meeting.

We're now staying in East Kirkby at the B&B so early doors on Monday would be my preference.

Nice one that gives me plenty of time to mosey on up, pitch the tent, remove the pack rack, clean the bike up and drink beer...Probably not in that order ;)

I am staying at the hideaway so I will try to get over the paddock to the hanger before 8am Monday to beat any rush.

OMG Lion Brown! ha-ha who even drinks that dish water anymore...It was what our grandfathers used to drink I think because was the only option away from homebrew which in those days was equally as nasty. Todays homebrew tech is actually very good.

But yep we'll chat before then about meeting up along the way and stuff Wobb.

Hey Delw. I've looked at a few of the old threads on Ems day and the East Kirkby Hideaway to get a bit of a recce on what to prepare for. It appears you're a veteran of this run...Any advice for us newbies? Food close by? Burnout pads? Closest alcohol dispensary? Any tips much appreciated. (just kidding about the burnout pads lOl tyres are too expensive these days :) )

I'm planning to ride in on Monday morning, CJ. Can't be walking into Em's Day, have to make some noise for my little mate :4roz:

It's all gonna be new for me. I normally just ride down on the day, only about 2 hours and eat the wonderful burgers, sausages ( :shut: ) and Ice Cream ( :yup: ) on sale in the Aviation Centre.
I'll be examining my provisions options closer to the day
