UKBEG 19th Birthday Event, Peak District, Saturday/Sunday 29th/30th April.

Together with Patrick Yates, General Manager of Harleyworld, Chesterfield, we’ve organised this event in the Peak District to celebrate UKBEG’s 19th Birthday. Patrick was one of the very first members of UKBEG in April 1998.

Following the success of last year’s event we’ll keep the same format with just one or two tweaks.

Saturday 29th April: Peak District Ride-Out & Evening Meal In Chesterfield.

Meet from 11.30am onwards. At approx. 1.00pm there will be a ride-out from Harleyworld through the Peak District to the Knockerdown Inn, near Carsington Water for coffee, tea and sticky buns.

The ride-out will return to Harleyworld at approx. 4.00pm.

Motorcycles can be left securely overnight in Harleyworld’s dealership and their staff will ferry people to a nearby hotel. If you wish to take advantage of this arrangement you must be at Harleyworld no later than 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

We need to have some idea of the numbers interested in the evening meal so we’d appreciate some feedback, thank you.

Sunday 30th April: UKBEG 19th Birthday Brunch.

Informal gathering of Buell/EBR motorcycles at Harleyworld from 10.30am onwards. The event is open-ended, come and go as you please. All makes of motorcycle are welcome to attend the event.

Free food and drink will be available.

A discount will be given to UKBEG members who may wish to purchase or order any Buell parts, oils, filters and spark plugs etc. during the day.

Very interested in the event but the location is now very contradictory to the Forum and Brand. Harleyworld no longer look after Buells as I found out the other day when I emailed them.

very dissapointing that Harley in Chesterfield have decided to leave us for dead but are still happy to entertain us, just dont make sense to me !

We’re aware they don’t carry out Buell service work anymore. Many of the original HD/Buell dealers no longer support the brand.

Patrick is an old friend and he’s offered to continue to support this event. They’re open on Sunday and located in a beautiful part of the world so for us it’s an ideal place to hold it.

I know exactly where they are as i live 16 miles from them, its a lovely friendly dealership and well located for some great ride outs . just think its shit that Buell customers have no support from HD

I will be there, but don't need digs as my mate lives up the road. Will meet up for a spot of fodder that evening and maybe the odd swallow of alcohol to induce the bullshit buell behaviour!

To help with planning we require more feedback regarding Saturdays ride-out/evening get together. We'll leave it a week to see what the response is before deciding whether to scrub Saturday and just hold the informal brunch on Sunday.
