As I write the weather forecast for Monday isn’t exactly two-wheel friendly. Hopefully it will improve but just in case it doesn’t we need to make people aware of the following points:

If you’re going to attend Ems Day in a car and walk into the event through the normal public entrance you will have to pay £13.00 per adult. All of this will go to the LAHC.

If you’re prepared to walk for an extra 10 minutes or so around the back of the main hanger to the motorcycle entrance you will still qualify for the UKBEG discount and pay £10.00 per adult; and help to raise funds for Emma’s Charity.

Only Buell pass holders will be able to park their vehicles near the motorcycle entrance. All other vehicles will have to be left in the public car parks.

The Buell pass only applies to cars and vans etc. you don't need a pass for a motorcycle.

There's all sorts of vehicles on this site over the weekend so we were asked to differentiate ours from others.

Just a short message to thank everyone who attended today. We reckon there were 115 Buells/EBRs, which is a record for Ems Day, and 42 other makes.

Erik and Tish were absolutely brilliant, they loved the event. Erik was in his element, nothing was too much trouble and he gladly spent time with everyone.

We won't know the exact figure raised for Emma's Charity until later in the week. This morning Erik presented us with a personal check for $1000 towards the charity. I'll scan it when we return home and post a copy on here.

We arranged to have some 'official' photos taken during the event and I'll post copies on here when we receive them.

An amazing day and Glad to have been able to be part of it 8-) 8-) great day and a great atmosphere 8-) Erik and Tish are such an amazing couple and so down to earth. Weather held off most of the day but I guess a lot of people got wet going home. Mark (BA) gets international Buell rescue award of the day after transporting first Howards M2 with broken belt and then Ducs 1125 across to my house to check out reports of noises from the rear wheel, he suspected bearing problems as he'd lost the pinch bolt from the swingarm following it having a tyre change, soon found after getting it up on a paddock stand the bearings were fine and the noise was the pads chattering in the rear caliper, so confirmed axle was correctly torqued and sent my 1125's pinch bolt for a new life in Holland and waved him off on his way :D

I had a really great weekend. Not ridden any of my (motor)bikes this year, and the S1 was an absolute pleasure. Onanist and I rode from the the Kingdom of Wessex up to the far edge of Mercia on Sunday, stopping in Bourton on the Water for lunch and then WillyWorks for a cup of tea. Met up with Ursus then over for dinner with CJ and Erik and Tish and co before a lift back to the B&B in Adam's van... The event was cool, with Erik mingling with the hoi polloi and feeling the love.

Great opportunity to meet friends old and new, especially the virtual ones...

Many thanks to Chris and Jane for such great organisation...
