i think this bike is fantastic despite the belt snapping, and to think buell are supplying the belt for free outside the warranty period is an obvious sign there is an issue which they dont have a leg to stand on ehy else would they give it away? anyone considering buying one would be making a right choice in my opinion but i would push for a good warranty just to be on the safe side (especially on the drive belt). anyway back to the issue in hand is there anyone who has replaced a belt themselves and any advice on hints and tips would be welcomed, especially to removing and refitting the tensioner, what wheel bearing grease to use etc etc.
this bike is fantastic and i would still recomend them to anyone they are comfy, good touring bikes with plenty of ooomph when needed so dont be put off you get problems with any bike my advice would be to have a good breakdown cover just in case and like i said get a good warranty from your dealer and dont be afraid to emphasise on belts and bearings as any dealer selling will look at belts and bearings and think no chance of them going and probably agree a good warranty to get the sale

any fitting tips please post
