After all the hoopla about the V85 it wasn't at the NEC. Shame, as it was the bike we most wanted to see. Apparently they couldn't get the prototype, which was displayed at the Milan show, over to the UK in time. Not withstanding that disappointment we still enjoyed the show and had a great ride there and back on the Ulysses and V7.

We managed to meet up with Mev and Lynn; and also Robin from UKBEG. The CCM stand was probably the most interesting, check out their Spitfire and Flat Tracker models, beautiful creations.

I've got to say something, I simply cannot stay quiet, the CCM is horrid only eclipsed in it's horridness by the Brough Superior. Now the Kawasaki Z900 RS, that's a fine looking bike.

I have to agree about the new Brough Superior, it looks an abomination but as everyone has different tastes I guess some people will buy it.

I have always loved CCM and all they stand for, another small Brit. Co. surviving against the odds.
I'd have one of those in a heartbeat, but I think the production run is nearly all sold (tells you something... :ner: )
Can't wait to see what they bring out next!
The Brough, on the other hand, is an absolute monstrosity and should've been smothered in its cradle (IMHO).

I also love the little CCMs and wish them luck but there are a lot of people waiting for bikes.......from the first Spitfire release In Feb! I do hope that their supply and production team can at some point catch up with the marketeers!

There is a guy at work put a deposit down mid Feb, paid for it in full mid year and still not a sniff of the bike........ He is not right chuffed

I think the Spitfire Scrambler is stunning, which is why I bought one :D I’m more than happy to wait for as long as it takes to get it right :yup: I’ve never seen any project deliver on time or on budget - at least I’ve paid already :D

I’ve been told my build date is 4th Dec with delivery two weeks later. Not a feckin chance - if I’ve not got it for the end of May I’ll start getting grumpy and concerned. When I do get it I’ll have a hand built British limited edition bike and will consider myself a lucky man. :yup:

I assume that's road legal in the UK :?: Wouldn't be here, the rear mudguard has to cover 45 degrees behind the axle of the rear wheel :sad1:
