Two questions, one, exactly what do I remove to inspect the oil pump drive gear, I now have 20k on the bike and this is the time to inspect for the bronze or steel drive gear. If it needs a bronze gear can I fit it myself or does it need bearing pullers, engine out, heads off in other words a specialist mechanic or just an amateur, namely me.

Thanks guys. I bought the endoscope thing, that bit i can handle. Looked at the twin motorcycle article and decided not to tackle that on my own but help is at hand if the job is required. still hopeful that a bronze one lurks deep in my engines
